The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has revised electronic road pricing (ERP) rates at three gantries in its latest quarterly review.

At the CTE gantry north of Braddell Road, the new ERP rate from 7:00am to 7:30am will decrease from S$2 to S$1.

For two gantries along the PIE (Adam Road and Mount Pleasant Road), the revised rate from 7:30 am to 8:00 am will increase by S$1 to S$2.

The changes, which will take effect from 6 February, received mixed reactions from motorists.

Commented Yahoo! user Roderick Seah on Facebook, “Reduced a dollar and take back the other. whats the diff?”

Another user questioned, “The ratio is 1:2. What do you think?”

Several others also agreed that the changes to the “Extra Road Payment” were “nothing new”.

“Even we drive back home after working hours at 6pm need to payERP, said Facebook user Rms Raja. “Remove all gantries charges after working hours, let us go back home with peace.”

The next ERP rate review will take place in May.
